XLT Ovens introduces new, more energy efficient burner system as part of green business practice
WICHITA, Kan., – XLT Ovens will be introducing an exclusive, 30 percent more efficient new burner system, manufactured by XLT, this February at the NAFEM show in Orlando.
XLT Ovens will be the only conveyor pizza oven manufacture to build and use their own proprietary designed burner system. This unique and one of a kind burner system will provide efficiencies not seen before in the pizza industry. The break through design offers 30 percent efficiencies over existing designs, without using expensive frequency drive, PC touch screen interfaces, infrared beams or other expensive-to-repair equipment. The simple and smart design uses inexpensive components designed and built by XLT to provide the lowest total lifecycle-cost ovens in the market place. Total lifecycle cost is defined as:
1. Lowest purchase price of equipment.
2. Lowest energy user.
3. Lowest cost to repair the equipment if and when needed.
Their new burner is an example of how XLT continues to offer energy efficient ovens and oven components as part of their standard product line. By using 120-volt motors, XLT ovens are 50 percent more efficient then most ovens in the market place.
XLT Ovens has not increased oven prices to customers in the last five years. The newest and most energy efficient ovens for 2009 will remain the same prices as they have for the last five years and return 30 percent or more efficiency to customers.
XLT remains committed to providing the pizza industry with ovens that are truly low cost to purchase and as energy efficient as possible. The factory uses T8 energy efficient lighting through out the 210,000 square-foot facility and set back thermostats in all areas. Wolfe Electric, the parent company, was founded in the mid-1940s by Roy Wolfe. The four-generation company first manufactured consumer and commercial fan systems and refrigeration products.
In the 1980s Wolfe Electric began refurbishing ovens for a major pizza chain. They quickly learned the strengths and particularly the weaknesses in oven design. This experience became the foundation for the expertise that goes into every oven the company manufactures today.
